Images of lightning

Lightning is an atmospheric electrostatic discharge which usually comes with a loud noise called thunder. Lightning usually occurs during thunderstorms and it is impressive thing to see but not to feel. Lightning can be positively and negatively charged and it can carry electric current of 30.000 to 300.000 amperes, so try to avoid one if you see it somewhere near. Some people survived lightning strike, even few of them, but I would not advice you to take a chance. Nikola Tesla succeed to generate artificial lightning in 1900 using "Tesla coil". He was master of lightnings. I will present some images of him in one of my next posts, but for now lets stick to lightnings. So here are they, 10 pictures of lightnings just for you.
Starting with black and white version of lightning photo. This looks like picture from the past.

Pretty impressive lightning picture. You can see a "place" in the clouds where lightnings causes, and lightning strike under the cloud.

This is group lightning photo. I must admit that I am happy not to be on this picture.

Very nice and very clear photo of lightning strike somewhere in small town. In the background you can see another lightning striking.

Night vision photo of lightning strike. I like green tone of the photo.

Another quality photo of lightning. This looks like some industrial complex.

Storm, rain, lightning. Better stay home tonight.

This is one big lightning strike. I wonder how all the houses still have electricity!?

Wow! This is one of the best lightning images I ever seen. Red sunset over sea decorated with few lightnings in all directions. Really impressive.

Lightnings are very dangerous on the sea. I hope there was no boats under this lightnings.

That is all for this post. For another one you can expect something unexpectedly. Cheers!
